Biography
Petros Phokaides (Ph.D., NTUA) is an architect and assistant professor at the University of Thessaly where he teaches theory of architecture and the design of space. His research focuses on architecture, infrastructures and broader landscape transformations to understand postcolonial visions, geopolitics, and socio-environmental change in the Global South. He is the co-editor (with A. Chronaki) of the book Theses of Memory (Nissos, 2016) and he is co-editing (with Panayiota Pyla and Sibel Bozdogan) the volume Coastal Architectures and the Politics of Tourism: Leisurescapes in the Global Sunbelt (Routledge, 2022).
