Yasmina’s work focuses on the political and economic processes that shape the conception and production of the built environment, with a particular interest in transnational, imperial, and postcolonial histories. Her previous and current projects examine themes of conflict and post-war reconstruction, religion and informal imperialism, and the geopolitics of knowledge and development, focusing on the Middle East and the Eastern Mediterranean. She is also interested in broader understandings of architecture that foreground territorial, environmental, and material perspectives.
